Due to the nature of injectable treatments, there is a possibility of some minor side effects, most of which subside up two-four weeks after treatment. Common side effects include:

Mild swelling and bumps, localised tenderness, skin blemish or bruising, general sensitivity and redness.

Everybody’s face is different. We are all wonderfully unique, and it is therefore impossible to state exactly what the final result will be without having assessed you. For Cheek Fillers, we use JUVÉDERM VOLUMA.

Cheek fillers are performed using an injectable dermal filler that containts hyaluronic acid a substance that is administered under the skin. They can be used to restore volume-loss, create definition, enhance features and soften fine lines and wrinkles.

There are a number of different filler products on the market but at VIVA Skin Clinics we choose to use FDA approved, premium products from the Juvéderm Vycross range. The Juvederm Vycross range is hyaluronic acid (HA) based and considered some of the safest products available. Juvederm fillers break down naturally over time and are non-permanent.

Most dermal fillers tend to fall within the 6 to 18-month range, however, the expected longevity of your fillers will also vary from person to person. The general ‘rule of thumb’ when it comes to cheek filler longevity is 9-12 months.

The exact longevity might change based on the volume of filler used, the precise areas being treated as well as the patient’s metabolism and lifestyle. However, our injectors will be happy to discuss specifics at your consultation.

Initial results will be visible as soon as you leave the clinic, however, it will take up to four weeks for the filler to integrate and settle under the skin for final results.

Maintaining your dermal fillers and increasing the longevity of your results can be achieved in a few ways. To ensure that you get the most from your filler treatment we recommend a combination of the following:

While dermal filler is a highly accessible treatment, we screen for suitability and only treat patients who are 21 years old and older.
