Due to the treatment being non-surgical in nature, there is little to no pain involved in Profhilo injections. Of course, everyone has a different pain threshold, but when performed by our expert practitioners the procedure is described as a slight pinch to the skin. Different areas of the face will have more nerve endings, meaning these areas can be more sensitive than others. We recommend the use of a topical anaesthetic to soothe the area and remove any discomfort. Due to the nature of injectable treatments, there is a possibility of some minor side effects. Side effects from Profhilo injections commonly keep to the site of the injection and often only take a few days to settle. The most common side effects include:

The Profhilo injectables that we use at our clinics usually last around 6 months following the second treatment, with longevity varying naturally from patient to patient. We recommend a follow-up appointment around 6 to 9 months after your second treatment to assess results. Follow-up appointments will allow us to top up the Profhilo, to maintain hydration and glow for as long as possible.
