When it comes to skin, collagen is what keeps it from sagging giving us a plump, youthful look. Collagen levels however begin to rapidly drop from the age of 30, which us why treatments that help promote stimulation of the protein are great.
Yes. Over the the first few weeks of the Profhilo treatment, collagen and elastin production is stimulated, producing a secondary effect of skin tightening. It stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, key proteins for full, smooth, wrinkle-free skin. Elastin fibres become more susceptible to wear-and-tear as we age and the production of collagen naturally slows down, so this simple procedure can not only help to slow down the signs of ageing, but help to protect against it too.The maximum effect of Profhilo is usually seen 2 months after the second treatment.
