Jawline Slimming

Also known as masseter injections, jaw slimming treatment uses anti-wrinkle injections to produce a slimmer shape to the lower face.

Anti-Wrinkle Treatment selectively weakens this muscle over time leading to an overall reduction in the size of this muscle. Following the injections, these muscles relax and reduce in size, giving a reduced jawline. This treatment is also great for correcting jawline assymetry.

During treatment, the area may feel a little tender due to the injections. Everybody is different though most patients find the treatment to be perfectly comfortable. We can also use a numbing cream prior to treatment to help minimise the possibility of any pain.

As with any injectable treatment, there is a possibility of some minor side effects. Most commonly, these may include: bruising, swelling, redness, tenderness, itching and sensitivity at the point of application. Any potential side effects will be discussed during a pre-treatment consultation with Dr. Rupert. Any swelling will typically subside within around 48 hours, and you will be free to enjoy life – sweat free.

Immediately post treatment, you will experience a much reduced level of sweating due to the receptors being temporarily blocked. This means you can do away with irritating over the counter antiperspirants that will often aggravate the skin. Patients that experience excessive sweating will often wear black to mask damp patches. Post treatment, you can expect to have a new lease of life with enhanced confidence that you can step out without the fear of embarrassment.

We use FDA approved Botox injections for the treatment of excessive sweating. This treatment has been through many studies to prove its effectiveness, and it has an excellent safety record. As with any injectable treatment, you should ensure that your practitioner is highly skilled. Botulinum Toxin A is a prescription only medicine, and therefore should only be administered by a Doctor, Dentist or Prescribing Nurse. It is important that you always check the credentials of your practitioner prior to treatment.
