Anti-Wrinkle Treatments

Anti wrinkle injections are generally a comfortable treatment that are well tolerated. You may feel a little sensitivity at the point of application, though this can be minimised through the use of a topical Topical anaesthetic prior to treatment. Typically the area around the eyes is sensitive, but we will be sure to minimise any discomfort during your treatment.

As with any injectable treatment, there is a possibility of some minor side effects. Most commonly, these may include: bruising, swelling, redness, tenderness, itching and sensitivity at the point of application. This will typically subside quickly post treatment. Any potential side effects will be discussed during a pre-treatment consultation with Dr. Rupert.

We use FDA approved Botox injections for the treatment of upper face wrinkles. This treatment has been through many studies to prove its effectiveness, and it has an excellent safety record. As with any injectable treatment, you should ensure that your practitioner is highly skilled. Botulinum Toxin A is a prescription only medicine, and therefore should only be administered by a Doctor, Dentist or Prescribing Nurse. It is important that you always check the credentials of your practitioner prior to treatment.
