What is a Tear Trough?
The Tear Trough is a hollow that runs from the side of the nose, below the eye and above the upper cheekbone, almost creating a ‘dip’ in the face under the eyes. For some patients, this area can become deeper and more shadowed giving the appearance of dark circles and may feel like it makes them look more tired. Many may also notice as they age, wrinkles appear around the tear trough areas.
Thankfully, we can overcome these concerns with the use of dermal fillers administered to the tear troughs (the hollows beneath the eyes).
What is a Tear Trough Filler Treatment?
Tear Trough Filler treatment is a non-surgical aesthetic treatment performed using a hyaluronic acid injectable gel. By filling in these hollows, or using dermal fillers to tighten the upper or lower eyelids, we can successfully disguise dark circles and add volume to the area around the eyes leaving you looking refreshed and alert.
