Polynucleotides in Tunbridge Wells, Kent

Polynucleotide treatment is a regenerative injectable that improves skin quality, hydration and elasticity by stimulating the skin’s own repair processes. Unlike dermal filler, it adds no volume. Instead, it helps improve fine lines, crepey skin and dark circles by making the skin itself healthier.

We offer polynucleotide treatment at our Tunbridge Wells clinic on the High Street, serving patients across west Kent. This guide covers the benefits, who it suits, recovery and what to expect from a course of treatment.

What is a polynucleotide injection treatment?

Polynucleotides are a bio-revitalising treatment, meaning they revive the skin from within rather than adding anything to it. Once injected, they stimulate fibroblasts, the cells that produce collagen and elastin, and support the repair of damaged skin.

Over the following weeks, skin becomes firmer, more hydrated and healthier. Nothing is filled or plumped; the change is in the quality of the skin itself.

Polynucleotides also combine well with anti-wrinkle injections and dermal filler for tired eyes or an overall refreshed appearance.

Benefits of polynucleotide injections

  • Deeper, longer-lasting hydration. Polynucleotides help the skin hold water within itself, which is different from the surface hydration a moisturiser gives. Skin looks dewier and feels less tight.
  • Better firmness and bounce. By stimulating fibroblasts, they support collagen and elastin production for firmer, more resilient skin.
  • Softer fine lines. Especially lines caused by dryness and thinning skin.
  • Smoother, more even texture. Skin looks more refined and radiant.
  • Stronger skin in thin, delicate areas. Crepiness under the eyes, across the neck and on the backs of the hands responds well, because these are the areas where skin quality shows first. Brighter-looking eyes are one of the most popular results.

Treatment areas

Polynucleotides are versatile and can be used on:

  • Face, including the cheeks, under-eyes and jawline
  • Neck and décolletage
  • Hands
  • Acne scarring
  • Stretch marks

Who is suitable for polynucleotide treatment?

Polynucleotides suit most adults, and they’re particularly well matched to:

  • Early signs of ageing, such as fine lines, dullness and skin that’s lost its bounce
  • Thin or crepey skin, especially under the eyes, on the neck or décolletage
  • Dry, dehydrated skin that never quite holds moisture
  • Sensitive or reactive skin, including rosacea-prone skin, where gentler options are limited
  • Sun-damaged skin, and anyone wanting to improve their overall skin condition

They’re often used alongside other treatments: polynucleotides improve the skin itself, while filler and anti-wrinkle injections address structure and movement.

Polynucleotides may not be suitable if you have a fish allergy, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have an active skin infection in the treatment area. We’ll check this at your consultation.
