We use dermal fillers for jawline enhancement. Dermal fillers are an injectable, hyaluronic acid substance that is administered under the skin. They can be used to restore volume-loss, create definition, enhance features and soften fine lines and wrinkles. There are a number of different filler products on the market, but at VIVA Skin Clinics we choose to use FDA approved, premium products from the Juvéderm Vycross range. The Juvederm Vycross range is hyaluronic acid (HA) based and considered some of the safest products available. Juvederm fillers break down naturally over time and are non-permanent.
Dermal fillers are administered with a needle; therefore, this involves a degree of discomfort. However, we ensure this procedure is as pain-free as possible with topical anaesthetic, effective products with lidocaine and advanced injection techniques.
Some areas may be more sensitive than others, such as lips, however well-tolerated. For our jawline filler treatment we use both needle and cannula with comfort and patient safety at the forefront of all treatments.

Initial results will be visible as soon as you leave the clinic, however, it will take two-four weeks for the filler to soften and settle under the skin for final results. The secondary effect of glowing skin will be apparent at this point as well.
Most hyaluronic acid dermal fillers tend to fall within the 6 to 18-month range, however, the expected longevity of your fillers will also vary from person to person. The general ‘rule of thumb’ when it comes to jawline filler longevity is 12-15 months.
